It’s official: Goss announces its new single-width press

Goss has announced the China Print release of its automated Magnum Compact single-width press.

The advanced Community successor – which has features including auto plate loading and slide-apart units – were revealed by GXpress in March.

Goss I says it will emphasise advantages and opportunities its technology and aftermarket services can create for commercial, book, newspaper and packaging printers in Asia and the world at the show. It will introduce a new press model, present an update on its expansion into the packaging sector, and highlight its strong regional resources and longstanding leadership in supporting customers in China and Asia.

It will show a four-colour tower of the Magnum Compact press, which it says represents an innovative and highly cost-effective approach to traditional single-width newspaper and semi-commercial production and is also designed to drive new short-run, multi-product business models.

The press combines proven technologies with new features to enable extremely fast changeovers, maximum versatility and simplified operation.

A four-high Magnum Compact tower will be displayed at the show, and its Autoplate fully automatic plate changing capability will be demonstrated.

Commercial printers attending China Print 2013 will get updates on Goss presses ranging from 16-page M-500 and M-600 models to wider-web Sunday presses that cover the gamut of production requirements. The M-800 model, recently installed in Beijing with a 4x4 configuration will also be featured.

Along with the new Magnum Compact model, Goss International will highlight a full portfolio of single and double-width newspaper presses at China Print. That lineup includes the Community SSC/Magnum series – the overwhelming market leader for single-width production in Asia – as well as Universal and Uniliner presses and the Colorliner CPS and FPS compact double-width press options.

Goss International will exhibit as part of the Shanghai Electric Group of companies at China Print with a 1000 m2 booth (W4, 001).
