The parent of Swiss press maker Wifag has bought CTP developer Luscher in partnership with flexo/gravure specialist Heliograph.
The deal sees Wifag-Polytype Holding and Heliograph Holding Gmbh jointly take over all intellectual properties, products, current assets, brand/logos and some of the employees from former owners Xpose Holding and Lüscher Maschinenbau. The new company is Lüscher Technologies, based in Bleienbach, Switzerland, to where the former operation is being relocated.
The partners say this will enable the new business to take advantage of administration, logistics and operations from Heliograph subsidiary Daetwyler. It will continue to service and manufacture the XPose!, MultiDX!, XDrum! and JetScreen products, supporting global users. Sales and service will be handled by Wifag-Polytype and Heliograph Group sales and service hubs according to market/product application segment.
Former chief technology officer of Lüscher AG Peter Berner will manage the products and support.
