Two Screen inkjet webs at Real Digital International will be the first in the UK configured with dye-based inks.

The £3 million ($5.6 million) order has one Truepress Jet520 already installed and the second currently being installed.

UK trade magazine PrintWeek says directors chose the dye-based system after seeing the technology in Japan, and in spite of a predisposition to pigment.

Two mono Xerox Sedona presses are being decommissioned.

The investment expands activities in personalised digital print.

The 520mm width presses have Screen’s EQUIOS front end and Hunkeler finishing.
