What new avenues for print centre profit (survey)

As newspaper print centres look to become independent profit centres, what options for new revenue are open to them?

That's the question posed by a global survey in which GXpress Magazine is partnering German/Austrian trade publisher 4c Magazin in association with WAN-Ifra.

Editor-in-chief of the print/design/digital media magazine Martin Schwarz says the idea is to create an overview of emerging business models where newspaper printers are either extending their business into new areas or are changing their business models to become more independent. "We hope to present a bird's eye view of the various avenues printers are branching off into," he says.

A link to the online survey - open until August 28 - is here.

Results will be presented at the WAN-Ifra World Publishing Expo in Hamburg, and will be reported in GXpress. Participants will also receive a copy of the report.

GXpress is the exclusive global partner in the project chosen, Schwarz says, for its reach in the English-speaking world and the quality of its content.
