Audience engagement tools are at the core of an order announced by DTI for Central American publisher Grupo Dutriz.
The multimedia news group in El Salvador will install DTI’s Circulation and Advertising products at ‘La Prensa Gráfica’ and ‘El Gráfico’, understood to be among the largest news media properties in Central America.
Director of technology and CIO Alvaro Sagrera says existing inhouse systems were becoming outdated: “We are looking toward the future and we needed a new way of engaging with our audience and serving our customers.
“Digital provides us with integrated systems that are comprehensive, and allows us to change with the market.”
DTI regional operations manager Gustavo Berges describes the two products as a “one-two marketing punch”: Circulation providing new digital marketing tools and Advertising expanding revenue with web and mobile-based tools for selling ad packages.
Grupo Dutriz will be able to integrate sales areas into one unified sales team, allowing for more successful advertising opportunities and overall collaborative processes. Web order entry allows orders to be created, proofed, and placed immediately along with scheduling packages and payment options.
Founded in 1915, ‘La Prensa Gráfica’ is the largest daily newspaper in El Salvador and will celebrate 100 years of publication in 2015. ‘El Gráfico’ is El Salvador's first and only sports newspaper, covering primarily soccer.
