What goes faster than a Porsche 911? The message is apparently another 911... and it takes print to deliver it.
Chicago-based agency Cramer-Krasselt came up with the idea of a hologram imaged from an iPad onto a cone of clear plastic.
A print advertisement in the latest Fast Company magazine delivers the message, the die-cut plastic sheet, and instructions on how to fold and use. You can see it here:
Porsche put 50,000 copies of the advertisement into the April issue of Fast Company.
"At the core of the brand is fascination," says Cramer-Krasselt chief creative officer Marshall Ross. "That's what every Porsche created was designed to inspire.
"The ad was designed to create the same thing. We want the audience to leave with a feeling of intrigue and curiosity."
He says that with Porsche "outspent by pretty much all its competition", building share-value into the campaign was a must.
Yes, it's a digital presentation... but it only works with print.
