Signs of changing times are clear in these figures from Jim Hamilton of Infotrends.

Heidelberg has been toppled from its 'biggest exhibitor' position by Hewlett Packard, which has this year's biggest stand.

While almost every exhibitor in the top ten has some involvement in digital printing, 'pure players' take most of the leading places.

Here - courtesy of Infotrends - are the ten largest stands, with their positions in 2012 and 2008 in brackets:

1 HP (2-3);

2 Heidelberg (1-1);

3 Landa (0-0);

4 Canon (3-9);

5 Kodak (6-8);

6 Konica Minolta (0-0);

7 Xerox (9-4);

8 KBA (4-5);

9 Komori (0-0);

10 Bobst (0-10).

Top ten exhibitors from 2012 that are missing from the 2016 list include Agfa, Goss, Muller Martini and Polar.
