Augmented reality isn't just about chasing Pokémon characters. Instead, you could be chasing a press fault in record time.

KBA has introduced an AR-DataGlass which unites the real and virtual world to let their service specialists see exactly what press technicians are doing onsite in real time.

Intervention times are significantly reduced, as are communication problems through bad phone connections.

The service was among several features introduced by the German press maker at DRUPA. Also new is the MobileConsole, a tablet optimised for use as a fully mobile console with a full range of press operating functions. The company says operating and authority levels are the same as those at the press console, allowing press operators and maintenance personnel to make changes or corrections from any position.
