A decade of 50 roadshows in more than 30 cities have seen KBA present a changing perspective to more than 10,000 printers in China.
As they have evolved, flexo and digital print have come to the fore, with sheetfed offset continuing to deliver the "bread-and-butter".
And time to ask about newspaper and web solutions as well, as the seminars moved from town last month, drawing about 700 guests to events in Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Changsha, Taipei and Shenzhen.
Under the slogan 'Add more KBA to your day', the company delivered on the detail of its DRUPA presentations. with the focus on latest innovations serving print, finishing, product refinement and technology optimisation. As economic growth eases, Chinese print companies are facing increasingly intense competition, calling for new approaches, new business models and new visions, with KBA already well established in the Chinese market.
On the sheetfed side, head of product management Sascha Fischer and sales manager Stefan Schmidt gave updates on the new developments which included a new half-format press, rotary diecutter, Xerox-powered VariJET 106 digital sheetfed press, and KBA's activities in flexo printing.
As in previous years, the informative presentations were followed up with practical press demonstrations at local KBA users, including Shanghai Zidan, which has a new KBA-Flexotecnica EVO XD CI web press.
