The halls at PrintPack in Noida next weekend will reverberate with the sound of live newspaper production, thanks to local manufacturer The Printers House.

After a strong year's sales in 2016, the company will present its 45,000 cph Orient X press with a shaftless four-high tower and seven-web folder.

Printpack India runs from February 4-8 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.

The highly-configured single-width press - which includes Megtec pasters and QI colour and cut-off registration - has already been sold and will be going to Hindi daily Amar Ujala after the show.

The show is also an opportunity for visitors to tour TPH's factory Ballabgarh, which is about 50 km - and a drive of up to two hours - from the exhibition halls. Contact branch managers for details.

In an interview with Indian Printer & Publisher sales director Kuldeep Singh said sales in 2016 had been a record, with installations now in 50 countries including 800 presses in China. A current focus is single-width presses for book and newspaper applications in smaller cities and towns.
