Savings and improved quality ahead in Guatamala

Two recently-purchased Uniset towers at Prensa Libre in Guatemala are to be updated with QIPC's colour register and cut-off control systems.

The two used manroland towers - installed in 2015 and 2017 - will have QI's mRC-3D cameras for colour register, and the two folders and sheeter are to be fitted with mRC-3D cut-off control.

Prensa Libre deputy director of commercial affairs Luis Núñez says they expect savings in time as well as waste: "What's more, thanks to the state-of-the-art equipment, we can improve the quality of our printed matter."

QIPC-EAE Americas managing director Ronald Reedijk says the decision was based on talks held with other users. Print2Finish agent Juan Echavarria was responsible for bringing the two companies together.

"We were won over by the favourable references we received, which were extremely helpful," says Núñez.
