It’s thanks all round as Croatian daily newspaper Novi List brings another security-building project to completion.
Maintenance director Ivan Biondić gives credit to Ivan Rogić of EAE agent GrafmatUsluge, who put them in touch with the Dutch company’s area sales manager Harold Drinhuyzen when Novi List needed help with its Goss Universal 70 press. “He guided us from the beginning and helped us choose the best solution,” says Biondić.
A first project had come three years ago when EAE partner QI Press Controls equipped the press with mRC-3D cameras for colour and cut-off register to reduce waste and improve print quality.
With the press showing its age, Novi List has returned for an upgrade of press controls and software at the plant in Rijeka. Planning was complicated as a result of delays with previous retrofit phases.
“Cooperation during the project has been excellent,” says Ivan Biondić, “ and as we plan to continue retrofitting in the next three years, it was very important to eliminate the critical dangers of the machine stopping now.
“We can already see the benefits of the investment through the reduction of paper waste, as well as the improvement of the quality of the products themselves.”
He thanked Harold Drinhuyzen again for the professional and expert management of the project from beginning to its realisation, “ and also to the entire team that participated in the project, and especially to the technicians who quickly and professionally completed the entire job according to plan”.
