Pennsylvania-headquartered The Siebold Company has acquired Illinois-based web press parts supplier Lion Web Components.

The company says the deal is part of an expansion strategy aimed at improving g service to its base Goss and DGM parts customers. Significant single-width Goss, DGM, Hantscho and Harris parts inventory has been added to TSC's Harrisburg centre, which it says will allow most parts to be shipped on the day of order.

Corporate development vice president Christopher Miles says that following its recent acquisitions of DR Press Equipment, Dauphin Graphic Machines (DGM) and Smith Pressroom Products, acquiring Lion Web "further strengthens our customer support for Goss and DGM customers.

"We've migrated the Lion Web parts inventory, services and telephone lines into our Harrisburg facility, and the Lion website into our new www.sieboldparts.com website," he says.

Parts, service and product development vice president Eugene Albright says the Lion acquisition has also added parts inventory for Hantscho and Harris press equipment.
