German printing company Aschendorff Medien has returned to Koenig & Bauer and QI Press Controls with a recently-installed second Commander CL press.

"All the expectations and requirements we had when we first invested in a QIPC system were met," says technical manager Thomas Wenge. "Of course we wanted this new K&B press to perform in the same way as the one we already use, therefore there has never been any discussion for us about whether how it should be equipped."

The new K&B Commander CL in Münster is to be be equipped with QIPC's mRC-3D system for colour register and cut-off control and IDS-3D for colour control, with the package including IQM analysis of press performance.
