Entries are being invited for WAN-Ifra's Asian Best in Print competition.
Print quality is judged using a 'cuboid' control element - with colorimetric devices for ISO 12347-3 standard targets - across five consecutive print runs, and also with a panel of judges evaluating overall visual print quality.
Publishers and printers of newspapers and magazines in Asia can register one or more publication titles regardless of the printing technology. Winners will be announced in mid-June, and honoured at the India Printing Summit event due to be held on August 25.
Organisers say new software and user interface enhance access and provide a flexible print schedule for participants to choose from.
Gold, silver and bronze trophies will be award in each of the three classes (based on circulation criteria): Below 50,000 copies; circulation between 50,000-150,000 copies; and above 150,000 copies.
