With growing business in inkjet web and packaging, Contiweb has appointed Christof Mann to a new sales role in northeastern Europe.

Contiweb’s focus is on technologies for advanced drying, web-handling and web-processing, and Mann will join the team as sales manager for northeastern Europe including the DACH and Scandinavian regions.

With the company’s drive on productivity and efficiency improvements in digital inkjet and packaging production, Mann will work specifically to support continued growth in the these sectors.

He brings industry-specific knowledge including 14 years at Heidelberg and subsequently Ferag, positioning him to support Contiweb’s partnership with major players including HP, Canon, Ricoh, Screen and Kodak.

“Digital inkjet printing is now extremely well-established and the demand for shorter runs and faster turnarounds just continues,” he says. “Now we see the market focusing on industrialisation, (in the same way) we saw it some time ago in web-offset, and now digital printers are understanding how they can squeeze every efficiency and productivity advantage out of their press lines.

“It’s an exciting time to be working with Contiweb, which has the portfolio of equipment to support these changes.”

Sales director Rob Bosman says that having established itself in the digital print sector, Contiweb is pleased to be growing this side of the business with this new role. “His previous experience within the industry and his specialist knowledge of the European market will help to strengthen Contiweb’s position within the market.”
