New production facilities for industry vendor technotrans are set to come into use with a move to a facility in Steinhagen in Germany.
Two halls with a total area of 3000m2 – one for production and one for logistics – are being rented because of a high level of orders for its electromobility thermal management systems. About 25 employees are expected to be working there when it opens on March 1, with numbers expected to increase to “around 60” in the long term.
Management board spokesman Michael Finger says the production facility helps deal with a high order backlog and be better prepared for major orders in the future. The group order backlog increased from 49 million Euros at the start of 2021 to more than 100 million Euros.
“This positive development is a result of the Future Ready 2025 strategy which, in its current second phase, aims to accelerate growth,” he said.
The Steinhagen site is close to technotrans’ headquarters in Sassenberg, “crucial for the transfer of know-how and efficient processes”, according to chief technology officer Peter Hirsch.
technotrans develops and produces thermal management systems for use in electromobility applications, server cooling systems, medical applications, and plastics processing, as well as the printing industry and other sectors. “Particularly energy-efficient equipment” ensures precise temperatures and helps companies reduce their CO2 footprint, “serving the mega trends of decarbonisation, electrification and digitalisation”.
