A new inkjet innovation centre for Screen Europe in the Netherlands brings the company’s packaging, commercial and CTP offerings together in a single room.
The building in Aalsmeer – which also houses the European head office – was shown to more than 100 customers, sales agents, partners and local community representatives at a celebratory event last month.
Screen Holdings chairman Eiji Kakiuchi says the centre reflects Screen’s confidence in the status of the printing industry and its position as a leading player in the market for inkjet digital printing equipment.
A 2,000m² showroom and demonstration centre allows visitors to explore inkjet solutions across three distinct product lines, including the Truepress Jet pitched for commercial print – including newspapers – and direct mail.
Screen was also celebrating the sale of its first PAC 830F flexible packaging press (pictured) which is bound for Chiyoda Gravure Printing in Japan. It uses a new water-based inkjet system first announced in 2020.
