With immediate effect, manroland is to market and distribute Tensor's single width-press newspaper presses in South East Asia and some other countries. The other marketsare in Central and South America, the NAFTA countries Canada and Mexico, as well as Southern Africa. Gerd Finkbeiner, CEO of manroland, says by supplementing its sales portfolio with Tensor products, manroland is now able to offer our customers competitively priced single-width newspaper presses. "On the one hand we can now meet a wish frequently expressed by customers, and on the other hand we can serve new market segments in certain regions. The agreement with Tensor enables us to quickly and flexibly strengthen our regional presence in attractive markets.” “With manroland we have gained a reliable, high-performance partner. We expect the close cooperation to result in optimal coverage of the global market and provide our customers with an excellent service network,” says Martin Hozjan, owner and CEO of the Tensor Group. manroland will distribute the Tensor equipment under the existing names T-400BE, T-460, T-500 and T-1400 in selected markets. The company has been manufacturing single-width newspaper presses in Woodridge, Illinois, close to Chicago, since 1993. National Printing Equipment maintains existing territory which includes Papua New Guinea, as well as Australia and New Zealand and Australia. Director Simon Munday says he thinks the new association will be "fantastic". "We've done well for Tensor over the years, most recently installing another four-high tower for the lovely people at the 'Mount Barker Courier'," he says.
