James Todd has been appointed chair of Australia’s biggest print group, Ive, following the sudden death of executive chairman Geoff Selig.

Todd’s background is in investment banking, having co-founded PE firm Wolseley Private Equity, of which he was managing director from 1999-2018. As well as being a director of Ive, he is also on the board of vehicle parts provider Bapcor and industrial products supplier Coventry Group

Ive Group chief executive Matt Aitken also gets a board seat as managing director. Todd (pictured) has welcomed him following a long career with Ive, the last five years as chief executive: “I’m very much looking forward to working closely with Matt and the rest of the board to help the group execute against its strategic priorities,” he said.

Grandson of Ive’s founder, Geoff Selig died after an accident on holiday in Barcelona last month, aged 59.
