Organisation of the DRUPA printing trade show has been revisited with a change of managing directors for this and the giant Boot watersports event.
President and chief executive Wolfram Diener is taking direct responsibility for the flagship Düsseldorf show, with Boot unloaded to Marius Berlemann, who has been appointed managing director for operations.
The restructuring sees Messe Düsseldorf’s leisure trade shows – including Caravan Salon – consolidated under the same leadership.
Diener is already in charge of Interpack and other industrial trade shows including the Messe’s Wire und Tube, Valve World Expo, a quartet of events for the metallurgy and foundry industries, and the group’s portfolio of shows around the world. To this, they have recently added Xponential in the US, for uncrewed systems and robotics, with a European spinoff is planned for February 2025.
Diener says moving the organization of DRUPA will “foster the best possible synergies” in coming years.
Finance and infrastructure managing director Bernhard Stempfle continues his responsibility for finance, digital strategy & communication and technology.
Messe Düsseldorf hosts around 40 trade fairs including 20 international events at the 18-hall, 613,000 m² Düsseldorf exhibition centre.
